Film

One of next door's beautiful cats, on the kitchen window sill looking hopeful. Taken on film using a Pentax Spotmatic crom the 50s.

Last year, my dad gave me his old camera gear as he wasn’t going to use it again. There are 3 cameras, all dating from the 50s, a couple of lenses, a light meter (which I have a photo of myself playing with when I was about 2 years old…), and a few other things. Best of the bunch is an Asahi Pentax Spotmatic SP1.

I bought some film and played about with it in the garden July ’25, and I’ve finally got around to posting a couple of the shots. I’ve never used this camera before, never used the light meter, except as a toy. The camera has been unused in a bag for decades. All this is to excuse the less than stellar quality, but I kind of like them…
